How strong are your yurts?
Our Yurts are built with hand-selected lodgepole pine rafters, a solid centre ring, and a tension cable system that works together to create a strong, stable structure.
Can yurts withstand snow and wind?
Yurts are designed to handle both snow and wind by working in compression — where the roof and walls support each other to keep the structure tight under load. Optional snow and wind kits add extra stability by connecting the rafters to the walls and anchoring the structure down to the base.
The angled roof helps snow slide off naturally, reducing buildup and excess weight. Together, this system allows the yurt to stay stable through changing weather conditions.
How does the dome work?
The polycarbonate dome sits at the centre of the roof, bringing in natural light while staying weatherproof.
What materials are used in the structure?
We use locally sourced wood like lodgepole pine and Douglas Fir, along with durable vinyl covers and a polycarbonate dome designed for long-term use.
How strong is the roof dome?
The roof dome is made of industrial strength polycarbonate, which is virtually unbreakable.
